Philips did resolve this and I am glad to Philips 40PFL3705D/F7 LCD TV that the game mode and even slight modificiation of the game mode to create a personal profile has minimal lag. The alternative would be to use a receiver with lip sync functions.

Philips tells me a receiver with HDMI 1. If you have to use and older receiver, like me, then be aware Digital audio out is only Dolby Digital.

Philips 40PFL3705D/F7 LCD TV Chances are that if you have a receiver that handles the new DTS formats then it will also do audio sync for you anyway. If there is a firmware update from Philips that addresses these issues I will come back and alter this review looking forward to that.

SOLVED: I have a philips 40pfld/f7 LCD TV and the - Fixya

Firmware update fixes the video lag. They were not overly Philips 40PFL3705D/F7 LCD TV, but they Philips 40PFL3705D/F7 LCD TV I try other input sources and I've tried the horrible composite no luck and tomorrow I will try component input. Ready to hate this TV even more? I understand the need for this to prevent artifacts in Hz anti-judder mode, but please give us an option. That said I have to say that the anti-judder is great in most videos with minimal side-efects and it looks OK after a long an painful calibration process.

Hi after a few hours of tweaking I figured out how to make this TV perform with video games!!! I was ready to sell this and gave it one last shot so here it is. When plugged to your PC go into nvidia control panel or catalyst control center and disable the sound Philips 40PFL3705D/F7 LCD TV for the HDMI under resolution for nvidia not sure about ati though select HDMI dissable sound now set auto picture to game in the tv setup menu and voila there is slightly imput lag but barely noticable anymore instead of getting 5 kills and 30 deaths in COD BLK OPS i got 30 kills and 6 death and been killing more than dying again LOL so I believe it is working quite nicely now.
