The Integrated Peripherals menu contains a multitude of options for controlling the VIA chipset controlled devices and ports. System performance will suffer noticeably with this setting disabled.
Both settings require a different device driver to be installed to the OS to function properly. Unfortunately, MSI did not include any means to throttle the fan speed on monitored fan headers, nor to set a system temperature shutdown threshold. Also included is the Dynamic Overclocking option.

This option enables the CoreCell Technology chip and sets how aggressively that CoreCell chip attempts to overclock your system. The CoreCell Technology itself is dynamic in the sense that it determines when the system could use a bit of extra power, and enables the overclocking level selected.

This option allows for a maximum settable FSB of MHz, which can be additionally enhanced in tandem with the Dynamic Overclocking option. With the Athlon64 chip multiplier locked, the maximum possible FSB of MHz is nothing more than a pipe dream without the use of LN2 or similar extreme cooling devices. The DDR Voltage option controls the memory voltage allowing for a maximum of MSI K8T Neo-V AMI.
This is not a very high amount, when considered against the ludicrously extreme CPU FSB range, and can act to inhibit a system overclock with system memory set to run synchronous to the CPU bus. Board Layout The board layout was well thought out, with no real problem or tightly packed areas per se. The only complaints I have concerning the layout are concerning the following items: Specifics concerning each of these areas are discussed below in greater detail. The board is a revision 1.
Those capacitors marked FJZ are from an unknown source. The HSF cage itself is an interesting piece of hardware that looks very similar to the Intel P4 HSF cage, with the addition of a support bracket underneath the mainboard. Directly to the left of the CPU socket is the Northbridge chipset.
